Fill Patterns for Brushes and Brooms

For sweeper brushes, there are different fill patterns, including: Single Row, Double Row, Chevron, Patrol Brush and Herringbone.

Double Row or also known as DR is one of the more common fill patterns utilized for sweeping. This particular pattern is really handy allowing for bulky things to be trapped in the spaces between every row, whilst the bristles are picking up finer litter stuff such as dust and sand.

The Single Row or likewise called SR fill pattern is recommended for sweeping applications which take place within sandy or dusty conditions. This pattern is likewise referred to as the high-density or full-fill pattern. The SR pattern specializes in picking up only fine debris and not any kind of bulky debris.

The Patrol Brush has been designed for high-speed sweeping in big areas. This brush has a V-pattern and has fewer rows with more tufts for every row and therefore, more space between rows. This particular design allows the brush to effectively pick up medium to large litter items including paper, leaves and cans at a faster speed.

Another pattern which utilizes the V-Shape arrangement is the Herringbone pattern. This arrangement however, is just found in the DR or also known as Double Row pattern and is best for medium to light litter applications. At typical sweeping speeds, the litter is directed closer to the center of the hopper and can be loaded more effectively.

The Chevron style design is usually used on cylindrical scrub brushes. This particular style directs the solutions to the center of the scrubbing path after the bristles work to agitate the loose debris from the ground. This design is comprised of a single row of full-fill to be able to keep the bristles on the surface always. This brush is designated as a scrubber because of its filament length, because the short bristle cannot flick or sweep the litter off of the ground.
